Accepting memberships for 2023-24

"2023-24 Memberships Now Open" is written on a semi-transparent pale circle overlaid on the colourful club logo

We had put new memberships on hold recently while we waited for the financial year t come to a close. That day is today, which means, if you have a WSP membership, it is expiring this evening.

We value our members who are our community and the reason we exist as a club. Membership fees are important for us to continue to operate as we do: as a not-for-profit community organisation with a vision of a vibrant and inclusive community for clay.

While we also provide services to non-members, through classes and workshops as well as Play With Clay sessions, much of our services are available to club members only. It would mean a lot to us if you renewed your membership and continued along the journey with us.

You can renew your membership online or through a staff member, artist-in-residence or volunteer next time you are in the studio. Please note that the fees have been increased this year as was agreed at the 2022 AGM. The new fees are as follows:

1 April 2023 - 31 March 2024
Adult $90
Child $35

1 April - 30 September 2023 and
1 October 2023 - 31 March 2024
Adult $50
Child $20

Open Day volunteers needed

We mentioned last week that our open day is approaching on Saturday 15 April, 10am-2pm.

There will be a cake stall, prizes as well as wheel throwing and hand building activities. We would really appreciate some help. We have a handful of volunteers but to pull off this awesome day out for our community, we need more people. If you can spare a few hours on the day, please get in touch and let us know if there is something you can do.

We want to spread the word about our club, about the wonders of clay in order to give everyone an opportunity to experience the joy you have already discovered!

Raku Club firing

Saturday 29 April 10am-1pm.

David is running another raku event on Saturday 29 April. There's heaps of time to make a few pieces, bisque fire them and be ready to join the fun. The firing will take place during that Saturday morning's Play With Clay.

All are welcome.
